This week, I attended Expo Real in Munich. The largest international trade fair for real estate and investment in Europe traditionally takes place every year after Oktoberfest at the Munich Exhibition Center.
Expo Real is a must-attend event for me. No other event in Germany offers such a high concentration of market participants from the commercial real estate sector.
That's why I was all the more surprised by some of the critical comments on social media over the last few days. I can't understand them. For me, the trade fair was very efficient and valuable in terms of content.
I arrived from Frankfurt early Monday morning and was in meetings almost continuously until Tuesday evening. Between appointments, booths, and encounters, there was hardly any time to take in the official program. Instead, I took away some interesting approaches and ideas for my daily work from the many conversations I had. We'll see what comes of them.
Those who don't derive much value from Expo Real should prepare their visit to the trade fair in a more targeted manner. Those who actively approach others will recognize the unique opportunities this trade fair offers. Ultimately, it is the responsibility of each individual to exploit this potential.
I would like to thank all my discussion partners, both new and familiar contacts, for the pleasant exchanges, and I look forward to seeing what develops from the encounters in Munich.
