Like last year, I also attended this year's P5 Property Congress in Frankfurt. The organizers, Dr. Dominik Benner and Dr. Stefan Söhngen, succeeded in establishing one of the largest sector-specific congresses in the real estate industry within a very short time. As far as I know, there were over 1,500 registrations.
The congress program was top-class, with well-known personalities from politics and the real estate industry. Speakers included Joschka Fischer (former Vice-Chancellor & Foreign Minister), Günther H. Oettinger (former Prime Minister of Baden-Württemberg), Susanne Eickermann-Riepe (Chair of the European World Regional Board RICS), Ingeborg Esser (Managing Director of GdW Bundesverband deutscher Wohnungs- und Immobilienunternehmen), Thomas Reimann (President of Verband baugewerblicher Unternehmer Hessen), Prof. Dr. Tobias Just (IREBS), Ralph Winter (W5 Group), Dominik Barton (Barton Group) and Peter Matteo (Groß & Partner).
I was particularly pleased to meet Markus Hill in person finally. As editor-in-chief of high-reach portals, he reports on the fund industry and family offices. At the P5 Congress, Markus Hill moderated a panel on "Preferences of institutional investors for real estate and alternative investments".
Anyone who has interesting topics should get in touch with him. The way I got to know him, he is always available for input, ideas and suggestions.
