Before the long Whitsun weekend, I was a guest at the Heussen Dialog in Stuttgart. The commercial law firm Heussen organized the event in cooperation with the professional association RICS, the alumni network IMMOEBS, and the logistics real estate special fund provider LIP Invest. The venue was the centrally located GENO-Haus, the headquarters of the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative Association.
There were three exciting presentations:
LIP Invest Managing Director Sebastian Betz addressed the latest market developments in his presentation “Logistics real estate: industry trends, rents, and yields - insights into the dynamic world of logistics.”
Nicole Alexander-Huhle, a lawyer and partner at the commercial law firm Heussen, discussed current developments in the “ESG jungle.”
Martin Piechullik and Ayham Kemand from the Institute for Digitalization in Construction, University of Duisburg-Essen, spoke about the digital construction industry - construction robotics, automation, and AI.
For me, as a HypZert F certified expert, the fresh market data from LIP Invest on the logistics real estate market from Q1 2024 was of particular interest. Together with Bodo Hollung and Natalie Weber, LIP Invest is part of the HypZert Logistics specialist group.
- Transaction volume around € 1.6 billion
- several portfolio transactions
- brisk activity by foreign investors
- moderate new construction activity
- prime yields for new construction at approx. 4.85 to 5.20% (gross)
The evening was rounded off with personal discussions among the participants at the subsequent get-together.
Thanks for the invitation. Stuttgart was worth the trip from Frankfurt.
