Frankfurt Real Estate Talk about the current construction crisis
The Frankfurt Real Estate Talk was on the road again this week as a guest of the FFH Media Group in Bad Vilbel.
The FFH Media Group (HIT RADIO FFH, planet radio, 80er-Radio harmony, FFH DIGITAL, Radio Creator) is one of Germany's most successful media companies, with over 3 million listeners per day. Regarding listeners, FFH is Germany's second-largest private radio station and, unlike the public broadcaster ÖRR, does not receive a license fee.
Real estate talk initiator Thomas Reimann, CEO of ALEA Hoch—und Industriebau AG and President of the Association of Construction Entrepreneurs in Hesse, once again organized an interesting panel discussion with politicians and industry representatives to discuss the status quo of the construction and real estate industry.
Among the participants were:
- Gitta Connemann (Federal Chairwoman of the Mittelstands- und Wirtschaftsunion -MIT-)
- Daniel Föst (construction and housing policy spokesperson for the FDP parliamentary group)
- Kruno Crepulja (Chairman of the Management Board of Instone Real Estate Group SE)
- Daniel Riedl (Member of the Management Board of Vonovia SE)
In summary:
The construction/real estate industry is in a deep crisis, which means that politicians need to improve the framework conditions, for example, through reliable funding conditions, lower building standards, more straightforward planning procedures, less bureaucracy, and the designation of more building land. In the federalist state of Germany, a standardization of building law would also be desirable.
It was another interesting Frankfurt Real Estate Talk, with plenty of opportunity for personal exchange between the participants.
FFH was a great host. After the Real Estate Talk, I had the opportunity to visit the Berlin radio presenter Dani Steinitz on her live evening show.
