The international organization Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH), of which I am a member, initiated for the first time a European regional conference this week. The conference venue was the Silver Tower in Frankfurt. Numerous case studies on the development of high-rise buildings and skyscrapers were discussed.
From a Frankfurt perspective, the presentations by architect Kai-Uwe Bergmann (BIG - Bjarke Ingels Group) on the Omniturm, architect Tina Kortmann (UNStudio) on the current major FOUR project, and Stefanie Lütteke (Drees & Sommer) on the former refurbishment of the Silver Tower were indeed particularly interesting.
It was an excellently organized event with a very international group of participants above the roofs of Frankfurt in the Silver Tower.
