This week, I visited the international law firm Hogan Lovells at the iconic Dreischeibenhaus in Dusseldorf. Marketing and PR expert Sevgi Metzger, together with Hogan Lovells, the Dornieden Group, Instone Real Estate, and RheinEnergie, hosted “City Talk Dusseldorf,” a Sevgi Communications series of events that examine current trends and developments in the real estate industry from a local perspective.
Under the guiding principle “Shaping the city of tomorrow – today,” the focus was on how urban spaces can be developed to be more livable, sustainable, and resilient in the future. The discussion centered on the balance between living, working, mobility, and energy supply. These are topics that are of central importance to the real estate industry in particular.
The discussion made it clear that urban development today is much more than just traditional construction. Digitalization, sustainability, social infrastructure, and energy efficiency were key topics shaping the discussion. Especially in a dynamically growing metropolitan region like Dusseldorf, it will be essential to collaborate on finding long-term sustainable solutions that keep the city attractive.
I want to thank the hosts and partners for the successful event and the opportunity to exchange ideas in a special atmosphere. Such forums make a significant contribution to fostering dialogue among politics, business, and urban society.
